Goolwa is located 83km south of Adelaide on the Murray River, 11km from the Murray mouth and 2km from the Southern Ocean.
The Lower Murray River is ideal for water skiing. The open beach is a noted surfing spot but is not recommended for beginners. The Murray River at Goolwa and Hindmarsh Island is well known for freshwater fishing for callop, bream, perch and European carp. Saltwater fishing by boat in the Coorong, Murray Mouth, Mundoo Channel and the Goolwa Channel below the Barrage. Sea bream, mulloway (butterfish), mullet and salmon trout are available.

Located on a large, grassed block along Bristow-Smith Avenue, House 26 is designed to accommodate a family of six. House 26 is adjacent to the first fairway of the South Lakes Golf Course. The course is a 5,735m, 18-hole, par 70 course with a rating of 68 and has fully grassed greens and fairways. One membership will be available so the occupants of the home can access the full facilities for the club, except entry to club competitions. Other guests may play by paying green fees. The clubhouse is fully licensed with excellent bar facilities and meals.

Payment Information
The apartment is available for a minimum two-night stay or weekly basis.
A deposit of $50 is to be forwarded to confirm the booking and the balance paid 28 days in advance.
Cancellation of bookings must be made direct to the managing agent and there may be a $50 fee charged. The management agent is not responsible for providing a refund on cancellation; only the AAF Company can do this. Refund requests made outside a four-week period of a confirmed booking may be made.

- Army Regular and Reserve may book 12 months in advance, and
- All other categories may book 6 months in advance, those being:
- Navy and Air Force Regular and Reserve
- Retired ADF personnel
- Serving members of Overseas Forces
- Defence Civilians
- Defence Contractors and Emergency Services
All members booking will be required to provide their PMKeys Number; rank; full name and Unit or workplace details. Retired ADF members are required to provide proof of service (service number) and/or a current retired ADF superannuants identity number.
